From Monday, 5 January 2026, Leister Technologies introduced a voluntary five-year manufacturer’s warranty across their product range. At five years, it comfortably exceeds the standard 12-month statutory requirement — a straightforward signal that Leister stands behind what they make.
To activate the extended cover, you’ll need to register your new tool within 30 days of purchase through your Leister account at leister.com. Registration uses the tool’s unique identification number and takes only a few minutes — but it’s worth doing promptly, as tools not registered within that window default back to the standard 12-month cover. Once active, the warranty covers material and manufacturing defects, including hidden faults present at the time of production, and it includes both spare parts and the labour to fit them. For context, this puts Leister alongside brands like Bosch, Milwaukee, and Dewalt in terms of the confidence they’re willing to put behind their products.
As with any warranty, normal wear and tear, misuse, and lack of maintenance fall outside the scope — and repairs or replacements don’t extend the original five-year period. Leister will also have a dedicated section on leister.com with visual guides to help clarify what is and isn’t covered. At CARR New Zealand, we’re here to help you understand and make the most of this warranty. If you have questions about registering your tool or what the cover includes, get in touch with our team.
